Sorry I haven't posted in awhile..
Things have been crazy here..I have had 3 people move into our house in the last week.
I am also very busy with the administration of the children's ministry of my church Lifegate.
In addition to that we have been trying to stay focused on trusting the Lord for our prosperity. Any one of the above is stressful..now add them together and you have a big pile of..well you know :)

We don't have any "Real" pumpkin patches here..so we went to the closest one, which happen to be 45 min away..I know right? Yes everyone buys there pumpkins in the store here. So next year I will be growing pumpkins in my yard :)

I traviled down to California for my grandfathers funeral, which I had to sing for..Very hard!

My parents made it to Texas.
They took a little time to get here and explore the land...But
As you know, my moms dad has gone to be with the Lord. This was a quick thing. He was told he had cancer and within less than a month he died.
I guess I put this next song on my play list 'cause I think alot of times we just feel at the end of our rope..nothing else we can do-or no more pain we can feel. This song reminds me of the great strengh I have within me to pull my chin up and face the rain.

First Day of School

Well Yesterday the first day of school arrived!
Here is Alexis in her pretty dress..She loves this dress, you can tell she feels pretty. Alexis thought the first day of school was boring and hope they do more..:) Don't think she'll have to wait long..She has a split teacher-Which means half the day she does Math, English the next half she does Reading and Social Studies with a diffrent teacher.

Here is Seth-Ready to go.. After school couldnt wait to tell me the details of a rewards program which they earn amounts of "money" when they behave- he wanted to tell me everything just right.

Faith-She wanted to show me all the pages of take home information..I needed to know what was important and what was not..

Well as for Hope she believes she is going to her own class-Kindergarden. We keep reminding her that it wont be for a few years, but I have set up a homework room and she will get to do school with mom. :)

So I thought I would give a Update...

For those of you who cant believe I really do hang "most" of my clothes..heres the pictures. Now Marcie don't be a hater..Yes it's a LARGE line :)

Yesterday-Monday we went to a Grief Camp. This is a place that kids go when they had abuse or other major home issues. Once a year the church puts on a "rodeo" theme night were they rope, barrel race, play flag football and hand out candy, rodeo tickets, watermellon, new hats, and ropes..It was a fun couple hours!

Some Thoughts

So I know I dont usually write, but cause I cant talk to anyone I thought I would share alittle about this moving thing and maybe share something new.

Weather-
Yes, its hot. Mostly in the high 90's right now..looks like it will be 100 this week. Although its hot it gives you a good excuse to clean the house, its nice and cool in here! Also a good thing about that is I try to save energy and hang dry my clothes.Now for those of you who know me I have normally a ton of laundry.Sometimes around 3 loads or more a day. Well that has changed because we pretty much stay in the few pairs of shorts and tanks we own and bathing suits. So I have been doing 1 or less loads a day and hanging them out to dry. It only takes around 30 min for them to dry.
Pool Ownership-
We love the pool, but it is a every day job. We haven't been able to get the chemicals where we want the yet due to the endless leaves and other things that get in there..I think we should have it soon..Its not too bad, it is diffidently swim able..And I'm picky about what I swim in :)
Bugs-
I would say there are more bugs here. The first little while we were here I kept getting bit by something..but now its a little better. I only have 2 bites. The ants are pretty bad and they bite. The big bugs well I only see them deed in the pool..the big roaches and crickets the size of your head (slight exaggeration).
New House-
As you can see from posts before this we like it and continue to put our touches on things. We cant wait to really put a big dent in some of the bigger projects.
Church-
Some of you have heared but we went to a great church last Sunday called "The Cowboy Way" it was really fun and the Pastors are really nice. Small church just getting started and we really like what they believe. Mike and I find it funny at the same time great that we may have found a church so fast. We will go to a different church this Sunday while they have a guest speaker. We will be going with them next Monday to a grief camp where they spend time with kids who are in the cps system. We look forward to that..
Ministry-
We..I miss serving..I'm board..I cant wait to get involved again.
Job-
Well nothing really yet. Mike has some work with a company doing some work..sounds like they may have other jobs, but we will see. He has had 3 interviews with a company and they wanted to put him in the field but we haven't yet heared anything else since Tuesday. We have enough money to make it though this next month but after that..it up to God. As I was talking to Mike about that last night I looked out the window of the car and there was a rainbow..I think that was Gods way of telling me He is in control..and I really believe that right now
Slow Pace-
So you know how it takes a while to go to Walmart..well here it is the slowest thing I have ever done. I can not believe how long it takes to get anything at Walmart! There is NO fast trip in and out. Now granted they are the Super Walmarts but every line could be open to check out and it still take like 40 minutes. Good thing they freeze the ice cream harder here or you would have to get a new carton before you leave.
Gas Prices-
We are at $3.83 Right now and it seems to be getting lower every day.
Friends-
Well this is the hardest part. I miss all my friends. I have Skype and been talking to Julia and it helps a little bit, but its no the same.
We have meet some people and they are nice. The neighbor family invited us to the church we like. We met one other family from there and have had them over for swimming, but its starting all over, you know-Yes we have my step dads kids but they haven't yet been over.I invited but they are busy and one is out of town...This has been an emotional week for me..
Fun Facts-
Yes, they talk funny down here..some funnier than others.
Sundays are day when you have to put far too many clothes on..
Make-up..what make-up it just rolls off the moment you get outside..So you learn fast that your base tan is your foundation and everything else you buy water resistant.
Barbecue is good-better than there!
Mexican food is awesome
You can only hang the Texas flag with the American flag and don't tell anyone you want to hang it in your kids room-cause you just insulted them!
You cant find a Texas flag anywhere 'cause they heared I was looken'
Yes, everyone is friendlier
They all but take blood to register your kids for school-wow!
Not everything is cheaper here..
The roads are amazing-rarely any traffic even during rush hours..or hours in Seattle :)
Speaking of roads..be careful of the toll roads they can really cost you..well anything having to do with transportation can really cost you..maybe that's why the roads are so good and the traffic is none.

Faith's Room

So Faith wanted a Hannah Montanna Room
So instead of buying all the over priced stuff..we purchased 2 posters a bedspread a pillow and a few wall stickers. We took the design idea from this and went to work :)
She has the butterfly and gutair design and the signature flowers on the otherside. What you dont see is the two posters and stickers on each side of the door when you walk in. She loves it and it wasnt too much to make special :) I think maybe we will put FT on the other side of the HM..but we will see. Also we need some cute white night stands..Garage Sales here I come :)

So.. I know some of you are "bugging" out and cant wait to see some pictures of our house..so here are some pictures of some rooms that are NEAR completion.. I hate putting pictures up when things aren't perfect..but we have to get more money in order to get some missing pieces of furniture. :)

This is the mural and new paint colors we did our master bedroom

While one side of our room is almost soild windows the other side has two glass doors for bedroom doors..so our solution for now..I think it works :)

My kitchen..We have painted and updated some things..I want to redo the counter tops at some point too.
I am collecting wine boottle lables and decor..I have some small pices I have added so far.

The dinning/sitting area. This room is coming along..
I still have to add some new family pictures and we will be taking out the tile and putting the smae hardwood thats in the house in its place. Also were you see the windows on the very left will be our new back door. We then will take out the fireplace. (it doesnt work)

Garden Party.

My last party in Washington! I have been planning this party, a surprise for Jessy W. mom for a couple of months now. Iam finally done, wow was it fun, but very exhasting! We ALL worked really hard and it shows, another success~ I dont know what I would have done without all my faboulous help.
My MOM! shes a rock star, she cooked and cooked that sauce all day, and night and then came to do all the "ugly" work like tieing a million bows for the chairs.~
Julia, what a trooper, I cant beleive shes not coming with me, I know durring a party, she wants to cut my legs off and tie my mouth shut but in the end she loves me :) I cant, I should say I dont want to do this without her, shes my right hand!!
My dad (Mark) he was there to help with all the grunt work all day and there to serve everyone graciously.
My dad (Mike) well he wasnt even suppost to be there, well some how he stepped in and I put him to work too!! Thank you, I know your back will never be the same!
My HUSBAND! a man who never stops and who I am the hardest on! He always gives me 110% and (at least on party day) doesnt argue too much :) I LOVE him so much, he is my world! thanks for believing in me!

So I see that some of you are confused by my last blog entry. Yes Mike and I are going to make a move to Burleson Texas this July. We are very excited and at the same time nervous as we make such a big change.

We really believe that there are some great things in store for our family there. We know right now our number one priority is to try to give our kids the best life we can. We know that the education in Texas is A1. We also beleive that the "bible belt" has a diffrent feel to it..less liberal than Washington..and as we know in a day and age that kids are so influenced by there surroundings we really want to surround them the best we know how.

Some of you dont know, but I lived in Texas before here and know first hand how this move will be benifical.

We also know that the cost of living is cheaper.. :) So we hope that this will allow us to have things we would never be able to afford here.

Please be praying as we make this move that Gods blessing will be upon us and he will lead and direct us to GREAT things..including jobs and a church!

This is very hard to move away from things so close to us.

This anniversry of RLC will also mark 10 years Mike and I have been with RLC. So its sad to leave the things you grew up with. Mike and I were looking at the Long girls ( a family in our church) and admiring the way they have grown up before our eyes...this is the case for many of the kids at church.

I will terriablly miss my best friend and all the other awsome friends I have..I hold a piece of them with me.

Mikes family are here and will be leaving behind and although they have a brave face I know it must tear them up inside..They hang onto the truth of blessings in our lives.

So I hope that helps with some questions :)

They accepted an offer on our new house today...
This is a 4 bed 2 bath 2465 sq foot home on a little over an acre. We have a pool and hot tub, seperate office and garage, also an additional play room for the kids..
The best part my kitchen has 3 ovens!!
Oh ya, if you didnt know..this house is located in Burleson Texas! :)

My Moms 50th birthday Weekend!!

Lots of pictures of this great weekend we spent with my family from all over the US. We had 16 out of town relatives come and spend the weekend with us to celebrate my moms 50Th birthday! What a FULL and Busy weekend.
Thursday night we had a big spaghetti dinner.
Friday I made a huge brunch and we had a small baby shower for my sister in law and then we headed of to Woodenville for the winery tour.
Saturday morning we landed in Pikes Place for some good meat and cheese at the Italian market and Mac and Cheese at the cheese making place. Then for Mike and I it was off to set the hall up for the special night. Lots of work, some tears (I wanted it perfect) and a sigh of relief!
Sunday was more relaxing, lots of food and fun, took in 27 dresses with my sister in law, while my brother and husband saw some really bad movie..cant even remember the name.
Monday and Tuesday..getting life back to normal :)
Enjoy the pictures..while I realize some of the pictures may not be the most flattering..I pride my self in giving you pictures that capture the true essence of the fun we had, even if maybe I have a better picture.

Something happens at Christmas time after you have children..It becomes less about you and more about providing all the joy you can for your children. Mike and I did not exchange gifts this year so that we could give our children gifts. The sheer joy of watching there faces light up when they open gifts is the true blessing.
Below is one of the best gifts we were given from the kids. Seth and Faith made us a plate. The reason why this is so special to me is because my mom still has the plate I made her over 19 years ago. I will have these plates too when my kids are old too :)

I cant believe this week he will be 6 weeks old..Boy time flies..
We cant imagine the world without our sweet baby boy. Dylan still enjoys sleeping most of the day and being awake most of the night !! He loves looking for voices when he's being talked to and loves to watch the TV in the middle of the night. :()
Hope enjoys being a big sister and tries to help whenever she can. She thinks she knows what he likes and doesn't, when he's hungry, tired, scared or wants to play. When he cries she tries to sing"twinkle, twinkle, little star" to calm him down. I love how she "thinks" shes the mom and knows whats best for him..she'll one day be a great mom!

So I was thinking.. as school starts up and our crazy schedules become even crazier I thought I would leave you with a few thoughts that have come to mind the last few days.
I heard a christian radio show and they were saying that 5 years ago we could make 3 calls to get the amount of volunteers we need to staff an area of ministry, but now it takes a minimum of 20 calls to staff that same ministry.. Why? Well 'cause we are sooo busy with our day to day lives, our family our work, we no longer have the time to volunteer in the ministry. Now that got me to thinking. If we are so busy we can no longer find time to volunteer a few hours at church were it's "easy" to serve for the Lord..then are we to busy to serve when its not easy, in everyday life? Let me put it this way..In the story we ALL know about when we sit at the feet of Jesus and he asks us if we feed the hungry or clothed the naked or took in the homeless and we reply "when" and the Lord tells us when we have done it for the least of these we have done it for him...and the story goes on..
So it takes TIME to see the least of these.
I know when I drive sometimes once I have gotten to the place I needed to go I wonder how I got there..you know "mindless" driving. This is a perfect example of no time to see.
So let me encourage in this story...
On Wednesday I was going about my business and running a ton of errands before school started the next day. I arrive at Target about 10am. I check out Target and the Scrapbook Nook before heading off to South Center around 11:30. As I pull out of the parking lot I see a car with a man working on it and he has a wife and kid in the car with him. I pay no mind except to see them. I don't even think at this point it crossed my mind to wonder about how they were doing. After all day of running around I find I need to now return something to the Scrapbook Nook. So around 4:30 I head back over and return this item..when pulling out of the parking lot I notice again this family is Still there. The young guy learning over the hood of the car and the wife and son sitting in the car. At this point I say to myself "man that's a bummer, they have been here all day, I wonder what's wrong?" Well I continue on my way.. Mike and I are going to meet up for dinner and I need to get home. Mike and I go and have a nice dinner with out the kids and as we are leaving the adjacent parking lot I tell him.."you know I saw this family broke down over there, I think they have been there all day" With no thought really he just hears my story and we begin to pull out.. I ask last minute if he wouldn't mind swinging passed the Target parking lot to see if they are still there. At this point I figure there is no way they are, and it was more curiosity than anything . Go figure they are. We turn into the parking lot not knowing what we could do, if anything. We decide we will give them money..It was the only thing we could think of..so we pull out some cash and pull up. At this point both the lady and her husband are sitting on the curb with a look of complete disappointment. Mike tells them I have noticed them throughout the day and asked if we could do anything. They reluctantly show Mike the problem with the car..well Mike has no idea how to fix it. Instead he says we would like to buy them dinner. They look at each other and say, yes. So Mike and I head over to Domino's pizza and order them a pizza, bread,dessert and drink. As we wait 15 minutes for it to be ready they weigh heavy on our minds! We head back to bring them the dinner a man is working on there car. We pull up to find after all this time a random mechanic has stopped and began to work on there car. So now they are feed and have someone to work on there car and it only took 9 hours.
I know because of the obedience to take the time to see them the windows of heaven opened up for them at that moment. In there dispare, when they really needed it, God came through with the RIGHT people for the job.
I know a long story but my heart became so full in that moment as we drove away and they mouthed the words "thank you". We never mentioned the Lord..never said his name but I felt and knew they understood in that moment that, God had provided for them!!

Mike and I had a get away this last weekend. This trip was largely in part to our church and congregation giving us money as a thank you.

We really had a great time just checken' out the town and relaxing before the baby comes. We both got massages at the spa and I also got a facial. We found some new and old places to eat, went to see the Titanic exhibit and..my favorite thing..took a horse drawn carriage ride. The weather was so nice that night. Perfect!! Now these pictures may look a little weird of Mike that's cause he took all our pictures together..you know how that is!

My Mothers Day!

I find the best gift of the day was just being with my children and loving them. They were so proud of the gifts the each picked out at the dollars store, but I was truly honored by the joy that came with them giving me them!

The day started early getting ready for church..What do I wear? where are my shoes? Can I put on lipstick and don't forget to do my hair..

We finally get in the car and to church to find Seth has his shoes on the wrong feet and Faith is wearing two left feet and the other shoe we know is in the car for Alexis is no where to be found. So it switch the shoes, wear two left feet when you sing and flip flops with your dress for now and Alexis wear your flip flops. So good thing we keep so many extra pairs of shoes in the car for this kind of disaster...

We both have a busy day ahead of us with children's church, praise and worship team, stage set up and children's choir..
By the time church was over I was ready to go home and nap, but we head down to Ivar's and have fish and chips and a short walk on the pier before we head home, grab and movie ice cream toppings and some dinner for later. So I had some dinner but by the time it was 6pm I had a headache and was ready for bed. So we watched our recorded shows and I headed for bed.. No worries Mike puts the kids to bed, not before they all have ice cream.

So another day in the life of a mother right. I think that who ever made all the mothers day cards that say.."Sit back relax and do nothing all day" Isn't a mother. What do you think?

It's only one!!
While I'm sure everyone had great thoughts about seeing me with a half dozen kids or wishing triplets on me I am happy to say it is ONE!! Just like God planned. So for all those who are bummed out..watch out I may wish 2 or 3 babys on you... and well we know how good I am at the baby thing. ;)
Update on being sick..It still hasnt gone away. We are working on the 4 and 5th medications to see if they work..Lets all keep praying my house and kids need me back, I need me back!

Anyone know any good natural cures for "morning sickness" that lasts all day. I have been out for a week unable to go and do anything!! I am willing to try just about anything :) I didnt have this with the other kids so it is a new thing... I did get some prego-pops that are sour flavor that seem to take the edge off, but thats about it. Any thoughts??

Surprise!!

Although the picture is small...I can tell you for sure it is a baby..

Mike and I were surprised..to say the least...to find out we will be having another baby. My due date is around the end of October. Another ultra sound is scheduled for 5 weeks "just to be sure" its only one baby. We are shocked but at the same time blessed!
One thing I have realized in all this..I have so little control in this life :) The Lord continues to bless me beyond my own comprehension.

Mike and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on Tuesday. We can't really figure out were the time went, we figure it has something to do with having four kids..Go figure! Although this year has had its share of up and downs we can only seem to remember the good. We have plans to take a little weekend away after our house sells but as for now we were able to break away for dinner. I thank the Lord for my husband someone who has taught me more lessons than I can count. He is an amazing man of God and provider for our family. I am one lucky wife.

So you couldn't get me to blog about the new house but..I will be letting you in on the first day of school. Pictures to come! Well it was off to school this morning. Alexis was the first up around 7:30, 15 minutes before the alarm clock went off..which I made her get into my bed until then :) then up and getting into the cute outfit that was laid out the night before..hope I can continue that!? Oh did I mention Seth was already up and watching TV down stairs..That boy is a morning person. :( anyway..A little russle and bussle in the house as everyone else realizes its time for the first day of school which means they can wear the clothes they haven't been able to touch till now. Clothes on in a matter of moments and then to the task of teeth, hair and breakfast which should I mention I went shopping the day before and got a bunch of stuff I can just pop in the toaster or microwave to cook..hey I have 3 kids going to school now and its all about sleeping until the longest possible moment for me!..So back to business..then we had time to kill(yah that wont happen to often!)..tried to get the kids to just relax for a little while so I could get dressed and take some first day of school pictures. Take the pictures load everyone into the car and off we go..Get out of the car and the bell rings, I think it is the 5 minute warning bell so we get to the class room and the door is locked.."weird" I'm thinking..the teacher comes to the door and ushers Alexis in..everyone else is sitting nicely and ready to learn, yah were late..the first day..I think school starts at 8:45 when it starts at 8:40..well back in the car and back home where I get pulled over..(another story for another time) and I spend the next 3 hours hearing.."Is it time yet?" "when are we leaving"...Um did I not mention the twins have 1/2 day kindergarten in the afternoon. Try to keep these kids ocupided for 3 hours while they are in there first day of school I want to impress the teachers outfit..Yah right...Finally for me it was time to go..I left 1/2 hour early this time!!:) Or maybe it was 45 minutes early..What?... I didn't want to be late this time! So we wait in the car till dad shows up to see Faith and Seth off to school. At last quite time..Nope..The baby chooses to cry nonstop while I run to the church offices..Then insists that I hold her..Ok who's running this show here?.never mind..I think I know. So it will take awhile to get into the pace of the new morning routines and afternoon melt downs, errands, housework(bigger house more work!) and....Quite time? Oh yah, I did want to actually exercise in that time too..good thing they don't have homework yet..
So my life looks and appears to be easy but I just take it in stride well..3 kids in school is a big jump from 1. Right Julia? So thats my day in a nut shell. Now its off to finding the kids who have quitely snuck out the back door to go play with there friends..after being told time to come in..and it off to making dinner, lunches, laying out the clothes for tomorrow,finishing the load of laundry in the dryer,taking baths putting the kids down to bed which I will be doing for about an hour..then taking a moment to get myself ready for bed..and making sure I at least say "hi" to my husband who somewere in this jumble came home from work.
I'm sure most of you can realate to this kind of day! (not the dinner part for Jess :) omg that was too funny! had to say it..sorry..

Running?!?

So I have taken Jess up on the whole running thing, she says it works so... I wanted to say today has marked the completion of my second week running daily and eating right. Maybe it doesn't seem like a lot but you try going from no running to everyday for 2 weeks. So I'm taking it slow I run in increments..Walk 2 min then run 3 walk 2 run 3...So on..For a total of 30minutes. So next week I will try walk 1 min run 4 then eventually I will be running the whole time.It's a way you can work into the whole workout without already being super woman. I'm sure glad I have the treadmill at home so I can sweat and nobody can see, unlike Jess I'm not cute when I sweat. I'm still looking for a workout buddy..I guess after the whole sweat thing nobody will take me up on the offer,hum..maybe I should ahve left that comment for the end? Oh Well! My goal is to be in some type of swimming suit by August for the twins birthday. I can do it right??Just keep it up!!

Well my brother and his wife are having a baby. So I had them do the drano test to see if we could find out ahead of time what the baby is. Well her test showed Brown-Boy...Today she found out she is having a Girl. Sorry drano fans it didn't work this time. I'm so happy for them! It only figures they will be having a girl, girls dominate in both our families. Congratulations to my bother and sister in law, you guys will be great parents!

So we finally we have some good news.. Mike was hired as a part time elementary children pastor/director. We are really excited and know that our time has come to roll up our sleeves and step into this direction again. This is a true testament to when you know you have been called in ministry and set backs come,you stick to it, keep the course, trust God and it will happen. Not when we think were ready, but when God knows we are. I thought many years ago I was ready to do this, be along Mikes side and work in the ministry, but looking back I had a lot of growing up to do, so we..I.. Learned.. I grew.. And the Lord was faithful just as we were. I think now this is the season we'll start to see a harvest in our lives..We aren't there yet we have some BIG challenges ahead of us financially and I'm sure spiritually but I'm ready to begin to claim VICTORY in our family. This is just the beginning!

I found that writing my thoughs out instead of just putting up pictures had its share of reviews.. so I think that maybe I'll write somemore...I never knew that being who God created you to be could sometimes be so hard. To take the road less traveled. To do what God is calling you to do, verses the easy way. As families struggle to make day to day choices and then choices that may effect our families direction, I challenge you as Jess has,to have a mission statement and run all things through that. Something in Steves message that stands out is...God doesn't change His mind on the calling He has for your life... When the going gets tough and we want to throw our hands up and get out of dodge, the Lord doesn't then say.."Hey you know this is too tough for you, let me change what I have created you for and the destiny I have for your life.." Yah right! The Lord remains steadfast as He has instructed us to do. This is then the "testing of our faith" for after our faith has been tested, it is only then, we can see the glories work of His hands!

I know this is strange an unlike me but I thought I would just write about a few things on my mind.. So I was thinking about something pastor said on Sunday and came up with this question..maybe some of you have a good answer.."How do you go towards what you want, without seeking after the things you don't have?". Now I know this sounds like it is a easy answer but I just find that it isn't THAT easy. I mean you want to move forward in your life and move into a new stage, right. Well you also don't want to get so focused on the things you don't have that you then loose sight of the great thing that are in front of you. I guess its about balance and finding a good middle ground. That's what I have been thinking about the last day.
Also my old friend who is still dear to my heart is moving away and I have been thinking about trying to talk to her one more time before she goes. I feel like I want to tell her I'll be there for her when she is ready and the Lord loves her but I know she already knows that. Maybe it's just closer I seek? So what do you say to someone who has closed the book on you but you feel like there is still so much unsaid for yourself? I think I will write something in a card and send it..
On a happy note when God closes the door on one thing He sure does open another. I have been so blessed to find new friends to share life together. I see even now that the Lord is bring new people into my life everyday..It's one of those things that once you put forward even the littlest effort God meets you.

Easter Sunday was beautiful! The pictures don't do justice for the way everything looked! I was proud. More than that I was proud being able to sing next to people I admire. What a honor to be able to serve with people who's hearts seeks after God! Thank You to all of you Karen S, Jess, Andrea and everyone else you worked so hard!! So Here they are our family pictures for 2006. I'm not sure what Seth thought we were doing at the park? He must have figured we were there to catch bugs..In his mouth..Every picture of the boy was a mad face or wide open for the bugs to fly in..So when you have a family of 4 kids make sure you have lots of time and lots of film this first picture isn't the best of me and faith but it is cute..

I like this photo of Mike and I. We were able to snap a good one in between yelling at the kids to stay away from the lake.

When you tell some of your friends you are having an interactive dinner party..Watch out..They have NO idea what's in store. We thought it would be a fun idea to have an "Iron Chef" dinner party. Well some people didn't have any idea what that was (it's a food network show). The catch the men were split into two teams and the women judged. I gave each kid two scoops of cookie mix and full reign of bowls of sprinkles, chips and colored sugar-they all made such wonderful art..And a big mess..Good thing for the roll up and toss table cloth yah and "some people" made the kids wash their hands before they started I thought it was half the fun to share germs!

This year for my Birthday I wanted to get together with my friends and just have a relaxing time! With the moving and grooving of the holiday it was a well deserved chill out time. We had fondue fun movies and lots of sweet treats, well that is except for Jess who needed to bring her sugar free candy and roasted beans! I would have made her leave them at the door except for they were good and she ate real sugar too..
It was so good to have new and old friends spend this time together its something that should happen a lot more then it does. I'm sorry for my buds who couldn't make it! Don't worry we will have another party soon..Knowing me:)

Baby Hope is One!!!!

This is a 2nd post of our trip..The order will be mixed up if you haven't looked at the other photo's. Oh well..

This is a church/recovery center that we worked to help clean out can see the mold up the walls!. Mike is carrying the cross out of the building to be tossed out.

Here is my team of gals...(starting on the right) Liz, Me, Sandy, Dotti and Lena after a hard day of work..

Here is all of us in our has-mat suits..We so cute :) By the way in this house Mike took out the remains of the home owners dog. Also the home owners mom and dad. They were in a vase and a base of a lamp!

Here you can see that everything in her home was turned to mush...You can see in the photo to the left a water line on the wall.(to the far right of the picture)

Can you see the size of that tree on top of the house!!! The dark photo is a church that is in an area that is still closed to the public area received over 20 feet of water. The next picture is the water line above the exit sign in an industrial building.

Here in the same complex is a dry cleaners who windows were blown out and it looked like a ghost town. The white in the sign is the waterline. This was so weird to see the clothes just hanging on the line and still in the washers..

These photo are some of the areas of Miss. This used to be upscale condo's. Nothing in this area has not been cleaned up and no one has been back. There were some toilets still in the ground :) When we walked through the rubble the only thing we could find that looked like life was things like light switch plates,dishes and small trinkets. This area was hit by a 30 foot title wave.

This bridge is completely destroyed and buckled..

Yet in all this there is still HOPE
